SMP-J type hermetic RF coaxial connector has the characteristics of hermetic packaging and can be packaged and welded on the tube shell or device panel. The shell and inner conductor of this product are made of Kovar alloy material, and the surface can be plated with hard gold or soft gold; the insulating medium is made of glass sintered at high temperature, and the dielectric constant is about 4. It has the advantages of small size, light weight, hermetic sealing, high reliability, etc. It is mostly used in occasions with sealing requirements or special requirements on product volume and weight, and is suitable for intensive installation.
Basic structure:
SMP-J type air-sealed RF coaxial connector usually consists of three parts: outer conductor, glass medium and inner conductor, and the basic structure is shown in the figure.

When the exposed part of the inner conductor of the product is connected by insertion or surface welding, the end face of the inner conductor can be produced as a spherical head; when the exposed part of the inner conductor of the product is connected by bonding, the end face of the inner conductor can be produced as a flat head or the side of the exposed part of the inner conductor can be milled.

Interface Dimensions:
SMP-J type air-sealed RF coaxial connectors have three interface forms: full escapement, half escapement, and light hole. When naming the model, F means full escapement, L means half escapement, and S means light hole. The interface dimensions are divided into standard interface dimensions and short interface dimensions, both of which are intermateable with SMP-K type plugs.
